wattOS – a lightweight Linux distribution based on Ubuntu, targeted to users of “old” computers. The system uses a very lightweight pekwm window manager by default, while maintaining good functionality of the entire system. wattOS with pekwm (microwatt) desktop is available for 32 bit machines.

The developer also offers two versions of the distribution with LXDE and MATE desktops.
Both are available for 32 and 64 bit machines.

As of R8 released in May 2014, wattOS has been ported from Ubuntu to Debian of the stable branch. “Microwatt” desktop has been changed from Pekwm to Openbox.

wattOS R9 is back based on Ubuntu and the microwatt version comes with the i3 window manager.

ArcheryOS – a custom pentesting distro based on Arch Linux. It was released under two versions, one with OpenRC and the second one with Systemd.

It has a curses installer, some preinstalled applications such as i3, ranger, polybar, and firefox. It has a pentesting focus, but only has about 30 tools preinstalled, as not to provide hundreds of similar tools, that are ultimately useless.

Firefox has some about:config tweaks built in, and some privacy addons preinstalled. There is also offline Documentation, written in latex, containing the pentesting tools installed, and the i3 keybinds.

Source Mage – an independent and a source-based GNU/Linux distribution, originally forked from Sorcerer.

Sorcerer GNU/Linux distribution has been released in 2000 by Kyle Sallee. The project was closed down in 2002, after Chuck Mead forked it into Lunar Linux. The remaining Sorcerer GNU/Linux development team brought the Sorcerer back and continued development. Due to Sorcerer licensing, the new form changed its name to Source Mage.

Packages to be installed, are automatically downloaded, compiled, and then installed. Each package is called a “spell”, and its package management program is called “sorcery”. To install a package the user must “cast” that spell. A set of available spells is called a “grimoire”. To uninstall a package the user must “dispel” the spell.

The installable iso images were available for i486, x86_64 and PowerPC machines.
