Aurora SPARC Linux – a researching & building a Sparc Linux distribution based on Fedora Core. Aurora was originally created after Red Hat dropped support for the SPARC architecture after Red Hat Linux 6.2.

– The first “stable” build of Aurora (1.0) was released January 19, 2001

ASPLinux (Application Service Provider Linux) – a Russian distribution of the Linux operating system. It is based on the RPM packages, and it is fully compatible with Fedora distribution. Russian language support in this distribution works out of the box. Previously, the location was maintained for almost all Cyrillic codings: KOI8-R, KOI8-U, CP1251, ISO 8859-5, UTF-8. Starting from version 12, the team of designers departed from supporting many Cyrillic codings, leaving only UTF-8, and also resigned from the company’s installer, replacing it with Anaconda.

Up to version 9, ASPLinux was based on the Red Hat system. All next versions are based on Fedora distribution.

ASPLinux is easiest to install and use, 100% RedHat compatible Linux distribution. Full featured graphical and text mode installation program includes unique partitioning tool ASPDiskManager allowing to repartition your hard drive during installation without data loss. In order to simplify multibooting procedure we bundle ASPLinux with powerful graphical bootmanager ASPLoader. ASPLinux provides best available Asian and European languages localization. It bundles the best available Linux applications making it suitable for both home/office and server use. ASPLinux includes several graphical user environments such as KDE, GNOME and others to make your work with it a pleasure.

Cool Linux CD – a bootable CD with Linux operating system, containing a 2.4 kernel and many free software packages.

New features of version 2.3:
– Kernel 2.4.20-wolk and 2.4.22 with supermount, squashfs, shfs patches and ALSA 0.9.6 drivers;
– Ability to choose a version of linux kernel and parameters for FrameBuffer and XFree86 (resolution);
– Save and restore your system configuration on floppy;
– Restore configuration from another session on CoolLinuxCD (in multissesion mode);
– Writing the CD-RW disks with CDRW device (if not a boot drive);
– Ability to choose the interface language during the bootup process (currently only English and Russian languages are supported);
– Autodetects all hardware and autoconfigures XFree86;
– USB mouse and keyboard support;
– IceWM window manager with ROX-filer as desktop and file manager;

For login need input “root” name with no password.
Rus/Lat switch by RightCtrl-Shift key in console and any Ctrl-Shift in X11.

If you want save config on floppy, run “savecfg”. It command save on floppy /etc, /root, and /drweb.base directories. If in bootup you answer “Y” on question about restore config from floppy, this directories will be restored.

You can select bootup variants: load with only RAM use or load with use 128 Mb first partition HDD space. On first HDD you can have ext2 or vfat filesystem.

Cool Linux CD is part of the LINUX EMERGENCY CD project.
Linux Emegency CD is based on Gentoo Linux.

The distribution was an Arabic distribution and specialized in full support for Arabic. It emphasized stability and ease of use.

The distribution used the GNOME and KDE desktop environments.
The distribution supported the 32-bit x86 computer architecture.
Version 1.0. was launched April 6, 2003.

The project developer is Haydar Alkaduhimi.

The developer was also developing the Haydar Desktop Environment (HDE), which is an open source desktop environment for Linux/Unix Operating Systems. Because it makes heavy use of a high level API it can be kept small, stable and easy to maintain.
HDE could emulate the look of Windows and could be used for helping peoples integrating from windows to Linux Operating System.

Vixta – a Fedora-based Linux distribution designed to be user-friendly and eye-catching, similar in look and feel to Windows Vista. It trying to bring Linux to the masses, not just sysadmins.

Vixta main attraction is to simulate the environment offered by Windows Vista, called Aero, with the objective of attracting users from Microsoft Windows, taking advantage of the visual appeal of this.

Open Xange (previously: Xange, Simplis and Vixta) – a general-purpose Linux distribution, based on Fedora. It is modelled as a replacement for Windows, and uses Wine to allow users to run native Windows applications.

Open Xange uses KDE desktop environment as default and is available to x86_64 machines only.
As it is based on Fedora, the live system features Anaconda to install it to a hard drive.

In 2015 the project changed its name to eZeY.
