BOSS GNU/Linux (Bharat Operating System Solutions) – a Debian-based Linux distribution developed since 2007 by C-DAC (Center for Development of Advanced Computing). The aim of the project is to provide a free and open-source operating system and applications for use, along with support for Hindu languages (Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil).

BOSS GNU/Linux is certified as “LSB” Linux distribution – certified by the Linux Foundation as conforming to the Linux Standard Base standards.

The system is available in several variants, such as: desktop, server, education.
The default desktop is GNOME, but the latest one features Cinnamon instead.
