IprediaOS – a Fedora based Linux operating system for anonymous web browsing, email, chat and file sharing.

IprediaOS is a fast, powerful and stable operating system based on Linux that provides an anonymous environment. All network traffic is automatically and transparently encrypted and anonymized. Many applications are available in IprediaOS, including mail, peer-peer, bittorrent, IRC chat and others.

IprediaOS features:
– I2P Router
– Anonymous BitTorrent client
– Anonymous e-mail client
– Anonymous IRC client
– Browse Internet anonymously
– Find anonymous eepSites (i2p sites)

The operating system includes all of the basic applications an average computer user needs, on the top of GNOME or LXDE desktops, such as:
– a text editor, Abiword, a PDF viewer
– image viewer, Gnumeric, the Osmo calendar
– the Robert bit torrent client configured to anonymously share files through the i2p network, Sylpheed email client, a packet sniffer Wireshark
– eekboard virtual keyboard
– SE Linux Alert browser

The LXDE desktop contains shortcuts to XChat to anonymously connect to IRC channels through i2p.
Firefox uses proxy settings preconfigured to use the i2P network.

The latest version of IprediaOS 1 was released in 2013.

Incognito LiveCD – a Linux distribution based on Gentoo Linux. It provides inclusion of anonymity and security tools such as Tor by default, and being able to be used as a Live CD or Live USB.

The distibution ships with pre-nstalled applications, such as:
– Internet: web browser, IRC client, mail client and instant messenger
– Tor for anonymous internet browsing
– TrueCrypt, a file/partition encryption utility
– Enigmail, a security extension for Thunderbird
– Torbutton, a Firefox plugin to improve Tor’s anonymity in Firefox
– FireGPG, Firefox plugin for using GnuPG for Webmail
– GnuPG, OpenPGP implementation for encryption
– KeePassX, a password manager

The live syetm uses KDE 3 as a default desktop environment.
Older version was also shipped with Fluxbox window manager, as was called Incognito Tiny

Tails was released on 23 June 2009 as the next iteration of development on Incognito.

Anonym.OS – a bootable live cd based on OpenBSD that provides a hardened operating environment whereby all ingress traffic is denied and all egress traffic is automatically and transparently encrypted and/or anonymized.

It was based on OpenBSD 3.8 with strong encryption and anonymization tools. The goal of the project was to provide secure, anonymous web browsing access to everyday users.

The live system uses Fluxbox as its window manager or a text mode as a users choice during the live system boots up.

Privatix – a portable encrypted operating system designed to be run directly from a USB flash drive or an external hard drive. This allows the user to safely edit and carry along sensitive data for encrypted communication and anonymous Web surfing.

The live system can be used as an installer to setup a Debian GNU/Linux system with a persistent home on an encrypted usb key or on an encrypted external hard disk without much knowledge and work. You can start the installed mobile live-system on unknown computers for example to encrypt your email with thunderbird, enigmail and gnupg or to work safely with your private data. All your settings and data will be safed encrypted on the usb-device.

The latest version of Privatix 11.04.11 is based on Debian GNU/Linux “Squeeze”.
The system’s developer is Markus Mandalka.

Ubuntu Privacy Remix (UPR) – a special, modified live operating system based on Ubuntu. UPR offers a completely isolated working environment to protect data against unsolicited access.

The most important features of the UPR are:
– Live system only, without an option of a hard drive installation
– the system works offline with no active the network connection
– local disk are mounted in read only mode so nothing can be saved or removed from the disks
– it features two pre-installed encrypting tools: TrueCrypt and GnuPG
– restricted privileges of the system’s users that don’t let the users to inject malware into the running system or to recharge such as kernel modules

The first version of Ubuntu Privacy Remix 8.04r1 was released in December 4, 2008.
