Incognito LiveCD – a Linux distribution based on Gentoo Linux. It provides inclusion of anonymity and security tools such as Tor by default, and being able to be used as a Live CD or Live USB.

The distibution ships with pre-nstalled applications, such as:
– Internet: web browser, IRC client, mail client and instant messenger
– Tor for anonymous internet browsing
– TrueCrypt, a file/partition encryption utility
– Enigmail, a security extension for Thunderbird
– Torbutton, a Firefox plugin to improve Tor’s anonymity in Firefox
– FireGPG, Firefox plugin for using GnuPG for Webmail
– GnuPG, OpenPGP implementation for encryption
– KeePassX, a password manager

The live system uses KDE 3 as a default desktop environment.
Older version was also shipped with Fluxbox window manager, as was called Incognito Tiny

Tails was released on 23 June 2009 as the next iteration of development on Incognito.
