Server Optimized Linux (SoL) – an independent developed Linux distribution with a revolutionary bootconcept based on XML and contains most common server-applications.

Features include software RAID creation, a quick-install mode for automatic mass installations and a step-by-step installation menu.

The distribution is built from source packages and is not based on any different one.

It runs in two modes:
– Install – it lets you install it on a hard drive
– Live – lets you run it in a graphical mode with Enlightenment window manager as default.

Root user password is: root
Then type: startx to run the graphical environment.
