IGOS Nusantara (short: IGN) – a Linux based operating system with legal software, reliable and without paying a license for users in Indonesia. IGOS Nusantara was developed by the Informatics Research Center of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences together with the community. IGOS Nusantara has been consistently developed since 2006.
IGN2009 during installation only installs applications for desktop/office needs. In order to function as a server, the user must add the application from the repository that is on the IGN2009 DVD or the repository that is on the server (Internet).
IGOS Nusantara provides minimal installation options. The minimal choice would be to install only a few packages or applications.
