Free_Desktop – a specialized, educational Linux distribution intended for computer laboratories in schools, developed by Adam Jurkiewicz (ABIX).

Free_Desktop is based on Linux Mint and comes with the MATE desktop and a set of open-source applications.
Free_Server is also based on Linux Mint, but is implemented for a fee by ABIX.

The project has been actively developed since 2009, in the initial phase it existed under the name SRU.
In 2014, SRU was released by the Free and Open Source Software Foundation (FWiOO).
Since then, the project has been renamed Free_Desktop.
