SRU (Szkolny Remiks Ubuntu – Eng.: Ubuntu School Remix) – a Polish, specialist Linux distribution based on Ubuntu, targeted to education.

It is built on the top of Xubuntu LTS, and provides two versions of the operating system:
– Desktop editions – for students and teachers
– Serwer – based on Ubuntu server

SRU Desktop offers components such as:
– Xfce desktop environment
– Linux kernel, for older machines too
– Epoptes Client – an application for monitoring SRU installation from SRU server
– LibreOffice suite
– a set of applications for audio and video editing
– a set of education games and programs
– multimedia codecs and plugins
– VirtualBox

SRU Server offers:
– DHCP server
– MySQL server
– Apache server
– PHP 5
– phpMyAdmin
– squid + dansguardian + transparent proxy via iptables
– network configuration via Network Manager for 2 ethernet interfaces
– Miredo – encapsulation IPv6 in IPv4 packages

The latest version of SRU was released in 2014.
