MAX Madrid_Linux – a GNU/Linux distribution created by the Ministry of Education and Employment in Madrid (Council of Education of Madrid), based in Spain. The system has been specially adapted for use in educational environments due to its simplicity, reliability and software collection.

The live system is based on Ubuntu and is equipped with the MATE desktop and a wide set of pre-installed educational applications.
MAX is available in two versions: desktop and server, for 32 and 64 bit machines.

The desktop version offers several options such as a teacher’s or student system; in addition, for use for children and primary education.

The server version offers an operating system designed for a single computer capable of handling all connections, with load balancing, proxy, printer management and even creating mobile profiles.

The distribution is equipped with an installer that allows you to change the size of FAT or NTFS partitions, create additional space and transfer the MAX system to your computer’s hard drive.
