F-Secure Rescue CD – a bootable live rescue system created by the F-Secure a Finnish company.

The live system is based on the Knoppix distribution, works in text mode, without a graphical interface. It allows you to scan your computer’s disk, as well as the Master Boot Record, and lets you delete files threaten the operation an operating system, such as Trojan horses, viruses, worms, rootkits and others.

The pre-installed anti-virus application has the ability to download current virus database definitions if an internet connection is active.

The only downside of the F-Secure rescue system is the inability to scan encrypted drives.
