Fox Linux (Flexible Operating System) – a Linux distribution based on Fedora Core and is optimized for the i686 architecture.

1.0 version was released for general use and one for the professional world called Fox Desktop 1.0 Professional. The first public version of the system was number 0.5 for testing and common use only.

It was developed for new users and has simple requirements such as writing and printing documents, surfing the web, listening to music and watching video and producing media.

The Fox Desktop 1.0 Professional version increases the functionality of the reduced Lite version, keeping the same base with all updated and corrected software. It comprises over 2000 packages containing complete applications, libraries and programs for development.

The Fox Desktop 1.0 was the first stable release of FoXDesktop, based on Fedora CORE 4. It includes the most important packages, recompiled for better optimization.
