Featherweight Linux – a Linux distribution, remastered from Feather Linux which was built on Knoppix.

It is a full featured distribution with a small foot print that is light and fast, even on older machines.
It features a minimal KDE 3.3 desktop instead of Fluxbox (the Feather Linux default desktop) and a set of pre-installed applications for daily use.

Featherweight is intended for novice users with “some” Linux experience, intermediate users, and experienced Linux users alike.

The Featherweight Linux creator is Ronald Meinsler.
The latest version of the Featherweight was released in 2005.
