ChemPup – a Linux distribution built from Puppy Linux which is a very small, flexible, portable and complete operating system.
In addition to a suite of open-source chemistry programs, ChemPup comes with value-added utilities to easily calculate molecular formulas, convert moles to grams and vice versa, and take much of the math out of keeping a lab notebook.
The live CD features chemistry oriented applications, such as:
– GElement
– ChemCalc
– Nomen
– JChemPaint
– BKChem
– JMol
– Avogadro
– ChemTool
– Gnotebook
No installation required, it boots from the ChemPup CD or USB flashdrive, but installation can be done in two ways, “full” or “frugal”.
The project developer is ‘rpkopreski’.
