Charm – the Charm Operating System is a nano-kernel OS aimed at the support of Orthogonal Persistence. It is the successor of Grasshopper.

The system developers aim to construct an operating system which is small and flexible.

Charm is the name of one of the six quarks, the others being Up, Down, Strange, Top and Bottom.

The Grasshopper operating system project ran in the Universities of Sydney and Adelaide, Australia in the early nineties.
