Wolvix – a live, desktop-oriented Linux distribution built from SLAX.
Wolvix uses Xfce as the default desktop environment, but other very lightweight window manager can bu used straight from the live CD: Fluxbox and Openbox.

The system is modular and lets users adding additional software modules.
It offers a large set of pre-installed software of the groups: development, graphics, multimedia, network and office.

Installation can be done to a hard drive, either as a ‘normal’ or a ‘frugal’ mode.

Wolvix has been released in two versions:
– the default, standard version with full set of applications, and the 3 desktops.
– Cub – small version of the system which features only minimal number of applications.

Wolvix live system doesn’t have a standard user configured, so to log in to the live system use:
user: root
password: toor
