WarBSD – a “tool for network testing” a wireless network based on FreeBSD 5.0, so-called war driving kit. Inspired by the WarLinux included.

Stacy Olivas merged a version of PicoBSD with the FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE-p7. Then he looked into WarLinux, examining how to use it as embedded Linux, and then realized that it could be done with PicoBSD.

He started the WarBSD project, which, according to the maker, is not a new *BSD code fork, but the BSD equivalent of WarLinux. WarBSD is a wireless network auditing tool.
