Ubuntu Lite – a Linux distribution for old and slow computers, and for people who have to use them. It is based on Ubuntu.
Its slogan is ‘Ubuntu Power for Slow Machines’.
Ubuntu Lite is, specifically, an independent project to create an Ubuntu-based distribution capable of running on hardware as limited as a 200 MHz Pentium with 64 Mb of RAM.
Unlike other Ubuntu variants, Ubuntu Lite focuses on software packages that have low resource consumption.
Its uses Openbox windows manager as default.
