Snowlinux – a set of Linux distribution based on Debian stable and separately on Ubuntu.
It’s a user-friendly distro with a set of pre-installed applications for daily usage and some useful tweaks.

It provides a few different editions of the system with different desktop environment.
The latest Snowlinux editions are:
– 4.0 “Glacier” with Enlightenment17, MATE and Xfce desktops, based on Debian “Wheezy”
– 4.0 “Frosty” with Cinnamon an MATE desktops, based on Ubuntu 13.04 “Raring Ringtail”
– 5.0 “Flurry” beta MATE, based on on Debian “Wheezy”

The earlier versions of Snowlinux were available with GNOME, KDE and LXDE desktop environments.

The founder and developer of Snowlinux is Lars Torben.
The distribution was under development between 2011 and 2013.
