SkoolOS – a Knoppix-based Linux distribution designed for high school and college students. It is oriented towards Computer Science students, and contains a variety of programming tools and environments, plus cool apps for any serious student.

SkoolOS is based on Knoppix Linux, an operating system well-known for its out-of-the-box compatibility with many computers and hardware setups.

SkoolOS can even be used as a host operating system for an entire computer lab. It’s as simple as connecting netbooting thin clients to a server running SkoolOS. TFTP netboot can be setup using a graphical wizard, so anyone with a little networking experience can do it.
