Proolix – a simple hobby POSIX-compatible OS for i8086.
Proolix consists of two projects:
– Proolix-d – chronologically the first, the development environment is the proprietary MSDOS/MS Windows environment and the proprietary Turbo C 2.0/tasm compiler. (Although it has already become free, but not free). Project D was loaded and even worked somehow! Project D is closed.
– Proolix-l – is a refactoring of project D, which is currently being done, already in the Linux environment using gcc/as compilers. The goal of the refactoring: switching to exclusively free software and free development tools.
