Phaeronix – a Linux distribution from Egypt that was based on Gentoo. The distribution was delivered on a Live CD, together with Reiser4, GRUB, automatic hardware detection and support for NVIDIA 3D. The distribution supported Arabic as default and was prepared for multimedia and the internet.

The distribution used the GNOME desktop environment and was supporting 32-bit x86 (i686) platform.

Version 0.8 was released on April 4, 2005.
