Pardus Community – a GNU/Linux distribution which is being distributed independent from TÜBİTAK/ULAKBİM. Permissions to use the “Pardus” name have been obtained from TÜBİTAK/ULAKBİM.

Pardus is an independent Turkish Linux distribution written in Python. Developed since 2005.
At the end of 2012, the system was rebuilt and is based on the Debian distribution now.
The first, new version released at the end of March 2013 is available with GNOME and KDE desktops, only in Turkish (Corporate). Community edition is available in Turkish and English?

A group of Turkish volunteers continues work on the independent, abandoned system that includes proprietary solutions and tools. The fork was originally called Pardus Anka (in Turkish: Phoenix), but was changed its name to Pisi Linux.
