Openwall GNU/*/Linux (Owl) – a small, security-enhanced Linux distribution based on Fedora, for servers, appliances, and virtual appliances. The Openwall project provides a set of patches for the Linux kernel to increase its security. The project also includes other applications that increase the security of server systems. The Openwall software is used by many Linux distributions.
The Openwall GNU/*/Linux live iso image can be used for remote, encrypted (SSH) connections to other systems, or for system repair or installation.
Owl live images are available for i686 and x86_64 class machines (the last version for x86_64 only) and run in text mode.
