OpenGEU – a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu and uses Enlightenment window manager.
The project has started as Geubuntu which featured a mix of GNOME and Enlightenment on the top of Ubuntu 7.04 base. Dut to conflict around the name (included *buntu), the name of it has been changed to OpenGEU.

OpenGEU was presented as an artistic distribution. There are two main themes of OpenGEU were available: Sunshine and Moonlight, as well as a few alternative themes too. Starting with OpenGEU 8.10 Luna Serena, a port of Compiz called Ecomorph has been available for 3D effects.
OpenGEU had pre-installed many e17 modules to easy configure the system and a set of applications from the GNOME desktop.

In January 2010, after releasing the last version of OpenGEU 9.04, the system has been turned to Debian as its base, but any next iso images never been published.

The project started and designed by the Italian artist Luca De Marini (aka TheDarkMaster).
