Kinneret – a GNU/Linux distribution based on Knoppix (and Debian GNU/Linux). The system is developed by a community in Israel and is optimized for i486 CPUs with IceWM, KDE, WMaker, Fluxbox and Xfce desktops.

The Kinneret project aims to create a friendly, comprehensive and fully localized GNU/Linux distribution, that will employ free software in order to address the computing needs of Israeli users.

The latest version of Kinneret 0.7.4 released in 2005.
