uCknoppix – a derivative of the Knoppix Linux distro created by SenTec Elektronik, with special utilities and toolchains to develop for uCLinux on 68k/ColdFire CPUs.

uCknoppix was designed by senTec Elektronik, a “Design Alliance Partner” by Motorola, compiled and based on Knoppix 3.3. This is a completely CD-enabled version of Debian GNU/Linux, which is not a installation on the Eest board required. Although uCknoppix is based on the Knoppix distribution, it is a independent project.

On the uCknoppix-CD are located next to the running Knoppix with all the standard one-ux tools like editors, NES, etc. the entire uClinux sources, the GNU Tools for 68k/ColdEire, the Xcopilot simulator and other useful tools.
To make room for these programs, some of the original Knoppix were components, especially from the areas of multimedia, office programmes and games removed.

This is experimental software. The use is at your own risk. senTec Elektronik and Motorola cannot be held responsible under any circumstances are directly required for damage to hardware and software, lost data and other directly or damage caused indirectly by the use of the software. If you are using these you may not agree, you may not use the Software.

Please note that the current uCknoppix CD is a first version. This was created to ensure the basic usability of Knoppix as portable development environment for uClinux to prove. Naturally, where such a first version sneak in even smaller feelers or inconsistencies.
