Super OS (previously: Super Ubuntu) – a modified version of Ubuntu with pre-installed codecs and extra software, with focus on offline usability.
The live/install iso images include extra tools, such as:
– Multimedia Support: VLC, support for DVD-playback, MP3 support and other multimedia codecs
– Internet apps: aMSN, Opera, Firefox, Flash, Moonlight and Google Gears
– Portable Applications available
– Added: App Runner, Java, Ubuntu Tweak, StartUp-Manager, Live USB creator (cd2usb), App Runner 0.2, Wubi
– System beep is disabled
– Most commonly used KDE and QT libraries included
– Easy installation of Nvidia, ATI and Broadcom drivers, without internet connection
– Compatibility with 32-bits application, by including ia32-libs to the 64-bit version
– Computer Janitor disabled
– Focus on making it very usable offline
