Rescatux – a rescue Linux distribution built on Debian from the stable branch.
Rescatux comes with the graphical Rescapp program.
The program allows you to repair a damaged Linux system, including:
– repair/restore GRUB and GRUB2 bootloader
– checking and repairing the file system (including the MBR sector)
– changing user passwords in Linux
– password recovery in MS Windows
– fix sudoers
The iso image also includes several tools:
– boot repair
– gparted
– os-uninstaller
– clean ubiquity
– photorec
– testdisk
Rescatux is built on a stable version of the Debian GNU/Linux distribution.
It is available as a hybrid CD/USB iso image for 32/64 bit machines.
