Parabola GNU/Linux – a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux, optimized for i686 and x86_64 processors.

Parabola offers a completely free operating system, meaning it uses exclusively free software.

Where possible, proprietary, interchangeable software is used, including the Linux-libre kernel.

The Parabola system can be installed in two ways:
– using Parabola media
– using an existing Arch Linux installation, where you must change the Arch repositories to Parabola and install the ‘your-freedom’ package.

Parabola GNU/Linux is listed by the Free Software Foundation (FSF) as a completely free distribution.

The system image is available for 32-bit and 64-bit (dual) machines in installer versions and a Live version with the MATE desktop.

There is also a version called “TalkingParabola” based on TalkingArch, aimed at visually impaired and blind users.
