Omega – a Fedora based live Linux distribution which features Gnome desktop environment and support for various multimedia formats.

In 2008 Red Hat employee Rahul Sundaram announced on the Fedora mailing list a new project called Omega, which is intended to be a version of Fedora that supports multimedia (including non-free media).

The live system features a set of preinstalled application such as Cheese, Brasero, Totem, Rhythmbox, Gedit, Evolution, Mozilla Firefox, Pidgin, gThumb, and GIMP.

The last version of Omega 14 was released in 2010.
