Linux Educacional – an Ubuntu based Linux distribution made by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
Educational Linux is a Federal Government project that seeks to make better use of computer environments in schools. With the use of free software, LE enhances the use of educational technologies, ensuring improved teaching, technological and, consequently, social insertion.
The LE Cardeal version was developed by the Center for Scientific Computing and Free Software (C3SL) at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), with the support of technicians from the Educational Technology Centers.
