Korora (formerly: Kororaa) – a Linux distribution based on Fedora Linux. The Kororaa project was created in 2005 as “a way to quickly replicate Gentoo Linux installations on several desktops”. At the end of 2007 the project was discontinued.

In 2010, Chris Smart the developer of the project re-born the distribution and moved the base system from Gentoo to Fedora Linux as its remix. With the release of version 18 (May 2013), the system changed its name to Korora.

The main assumption of the Korora project is providing a complete and easy-to-use general-purpose operating system.

Korora is available for i686 and x86_64 machines with KDE, GNOME, Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce desktops.

Along with the Fedora base system, Korora also provides a set of additional applications, full multimedia support, codecs, plugins, etc.
