Bubuntu – a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu. It aims to enable users move smoothly operating system to the wonderful world of free software. It works withe French localization as default, but other, supported by Ubuntu are also available.

Bubuntu contains the default Ubuntu desktop and applications with a few modifications, such as:
– only one bottom panel
– removed the default Ubuntu sounds
– added a few applications: k3b, Amarok, aMSN, VLC, Sun Java 6, Gimp
– full support for French language

The remix was under development between 2007 and 2009 by Rémi Vernay.
