Acronus Live – a Lubuntu based specialist live Linux distribution which features the Acronus System.
Acronus® Schools and Businesses: Acronus® emerged from the need for companies, schools, universities, and municipalities to always seek security for their computers. Through this idea, a new solution was developed that monitors several important points of a computer through four tools: the Acronus Client, Acronus Server, Acronus Supervisor, and the Webserver.
The Acronus Client does not necessarily depend on a Server and can handle all computer security through predefined profiles. If any security breach occurs, the system will generate warnings, reports with screenshots of users, and the option to terminate the applications or web pages in question will be given. All these controls and reports can be monitored on the local machine or on a Server.
The Acronus Server works on a remote machine that controls the Acronus Client on all machines on the network, defining a security profile for each user or group of computers.
The Acronus Supervisor operates on a remote machine that controls the Acronus Client of a group of computers,
having permission to execute commands predefined by the Acronus Server, that is, it is a limited Acronus Server,
to be used as a monitor for groups (rooms) of computers on the network.
The WebServer is a tool that, through an internet browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Palm,
Mobile, …), allows us to control groups of computers and perform certain tasks based on the permissions
defined for the user connected to the WebServer.
