Tilix Linux – a Bulgarian Linux distribution based on KANOTIX and later on Kubuntu. Its goal is to introduce more Bulgarians to the world of Linux and Open Source software. It contains useful software, much of which has been translated into Bulgarian.
It was oriented to beginners and those who prefer to work in the Bulgarian language.
It contains a collection of GNU/Linux software, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics and sound cards, SCSI and USB devices and other peripherals.
The latest version of Tilix 2.1 was shipped with packages and tools, such as: Linux kernel 2.6.20, X.org 7.2, KDE 3.5.6, OpenOffice.org 2.2.0, Zeroconf support, Beryl 3D, Support for Strigi Desktop Search, digiKam 0.9.1, Kopete IM, Amarok 1.4.7, ntfs-3g, K3b 1.0.3, Knetworkmanager, Scummvm.
The distribution has been abandoned in 2008, and is no longer supported.
The latest version 2.1 was based on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.
