Siegfried Linux – a modified KNOPPIX 4.0.2 Linux distribution. However, Siegfried is less geared towards the use of CD-ROM.
Once installed on the hard drive, Siegfried provides many functions for the LAN:
– Postfix mail server.
– Apache web server.
– Asterisk the software PBX. A Linux-based telecommunications system with very extensive options (SIP telephony, voicemails, IVR, ACD, call center…). A version of Asterisk 1.2.4 (bristuffed, florz-patched) adapted for Germany and optimized for ISDN including configuration is included with siegfried2 and can be used directly with or without HFC cards: you just need to start Asterisk!
– Web-based groupware PHProjekt (calendar, emails, tasks, chat and much more).
– Webmin 1.130 user interface
-MLDonkey (eDonkey, Bittorrent, FastTrack, Overnet, Gnutella…) exchange client can optionally access various peer-to-peer networks.
– CUPS the Linux print server including PDF printing capability for the entire network.
– Drive shares from the Siegfried server for Windows or Linux via SaMBa.
– Network management with ntop.
– DynDNS client GNUDip2, which also works behind a NAT router.
