Wolfer Linux – a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu and made with the focus to be used by Linux users who are new to Linux and want to learn to use Linux as an operating system from a paid alternative.
Wolfer project started around the beginning of 2010. After experiencing many obstacles and problems, Wolfer finally released with the codename “Zero”. Wolfer free and without having to pay anything.
Wolfer Linux is built around GNOME 2 and provides pre-installed applications such as: GIMP image editor, Mozilla Firefox web browser, Vuze P2P file sharing client, Gwibber social networking client, Empathy multi-protocol instant messenger client, Evolution email and calendar client, LibreOffice office suite, Audacious audio player and VLC Media Player.
The latest version of Wolfer Linux 2 was based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx.
